17000 Toulouse, 2.3 million French had spoken on October 3 during a citizen referendum, to affirm their commitment to the public postal service. No response has been made to date by the president and his government, if not contempt for the popular will. The French refuse to see crumble a little more public services.
"Tackling the tackle position is a strong symbol of our republic. "This is how François Briançon, chairman of the Socialist, Radical and the Republican mayor of Toulouse denounces the desire for change in status of the post.
Despite the historical success of this citizen referendum, the government continued its draft Legislation to reform the status of La Poste company.
Therefore a new advocacy campaign, entitled "I write to the president," is held until November 7 by all the assembled left; actively gathering involving politicians from the Socialist Group, and radical Republicans .
The President does not want its citizens, then we will write to request the withdrawal of the bill, opening the public debate and a referendum on the future of public postal service.
The Group elected Socialist, Radical and the Republican the mayor of Toulouse rallied on Saturday to write to the President of the Republic and seek a referendum on the public postal service.
The legitimacy of the word of French should not be denigrated longer. The French must be heard and consulted formally decide the future of La Poste.
We therefore call on all people of Toulouse to demand the holding of a public debate and a referendum on the future of public postal service, by writing them as a postcard to the President of republic.
